第十六化、《教稼穑》

天有五行，水火木金土，分时化育，以成万物，其神谓之五帝，五帝即是一帝的用。教稼穑
是教养生之道，生机的关键是元神，元神是一，藏在后天的五里。五谷为一所养，通过吃五
谷，间接地吃德一元气，供养元神。播谷代烹杀，戒杀禽兽，不伤害动物的灵光，人才会平
安。

The Five Elements —Water, Fire, Wood, Metal and Earth—are formed into
everything in different times, and their god is called the Five Emperors, which
is the concrete use of the Oneness. Teaching the cultivation actually refers to
teaching the life-cultivation methods. The key of vitality is Yuan Shen, which
is the One hidden behind the acquired Five. By eating the Five Cereals which are
cultivated by the One, people can indirectly obtain the yuan Qi of Te and Oneness
for the growth of Yuan Shen. Cereal farming is encouraged instead of livestock
breeding. Abstention from killing animals and hurting their spirits will also keep
the human themselves safe.
