第七十六化、《应帝梦》

还是唐肃宗时，皇帝白天睡觉做梦，梦见二童子带他到了一处宫阙，谒见老君，但是老子的
头发是黑的。醒后宣诏访其像，在圣祖院，果有黑发老君之像，一如梦中所见。帝大悦，乃

出玉容画像，令侍立于像后，仍颁天下普令供养。这也许说的是得道第八年易发，头发变黑。

Seventy-sixth, "Verify the emperor’s dream"

Also in the period of Tang Suzong, in his sleep during the day, the emperor dreamt
of two little boy taking him to a palace to meet Laojun, whose hair was all black

though. After awake, he issued the decree to look for the image and surely a
figure of black-haired Laojun was found in Sheng Zu House, exactly the same as

seen in his dream. The emperor was pleased and ordered to paint the image of the
figure with himself standing behind, for the public to worship. It may refer to
the eighth year of practicing Tao, when the hair is changed into black.
